Hummocado

One day, we had a sharing lunch day at work and my colleague brought her homemade avocado hummus for us. It was very creamy, smooth and nice greeny colour from avocado. It was the best hummus I have ever had in my life. I could eat whole container of it but I didn't because I knew everyone would hate me if I did. People in my team loved the hummus!! It's been a few month since then...


I really want the avocado hummus right now!!


I asked the colleague what ingredients do I need to make the hummocado (my partner named it and I stole it ;).


She told me I need...


• 1 can chickpeas

• 1 clove Garlic

• 1 Avocado

• A bunch of fresh coriander

• 1 Tablespoon Olive oil

• 2 Tablespoons lemon juice

• Salt and Pepper


Thats all I need according to her.


I added another avocado and...


• 1 Tablespoon Nutritional yeast

• 1 Teaspoon Smoked paprika

as an extra flavour.



Then blend it!!



I think I shouldn't have added another avocado. My blender is not big and powerful so it was too much things in the blender which took a long time to get smooth texture. I was too greedy😵


Turned the blender off and mix it with a spoon then turned it on. I had to do it over and over to get to right texture.

It happens when you not stick to the recipe. I learned it.


However, it turned out to be a nice and creamy dipping hummocado sauce!!


I recommend you to try if you got bored of regular flavour of Hummus(nevertheless I still love garlic and tahini hummus!)!!
